Hello:
I was wondering if there was a built in way (some command or something that I can run) on my server that would give me MQ performance stats? Basically what I am interested in knowing, is how well is MQ working on the server? Is is performing okay, or could it be optimized etc.
Version that is being used for this particular box is MQ 5.2, which I realize is no longer supported.
Any ideas on how I could get performance stats for MQ?
Thanks in advance! _________________ Praveen K. Chhangani,

There are performance related events that MQSeries will "throw", even at 5.2, that are available for applications of various kinds to receive.
But you'll have to have a much better understanding of exactly what kinds of performance metrics you want to generate - in order to understand if the MQSeries default stuff is sufficient, or if you need to write some kind of exit.
At least some of the things in the 5.3 Performance and Events manual (or whatever it's called - my memory is very very blurry right this minute) should be available in 5.2. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
