I need to bring up multiple receive channels (test, production etc) all listening on one IP. However, there is a problem. The other party (sender) would only point to 1414 in their send channel definitions, because of their house standards. But they agreee to point to different IPs in their send channel definitions.
I see that runmqlsr accepts only the port as a parameter, no IP possible. As a result I need to get the listeners to use different ports on the default IP.
One way is to have the incoming traffic for the different IPs forwarded to different ports on the same IP. I need to do it either within the Linux box or have it done in the firewall.
There must be better way to do this. Why doesn't the listner bind to a specified IP? Or is something missing in the documentation?
What do others do in this situation.
Thanks folks _________________ A Perl Hacker

I though 5.3 localaddr on the listener enabled it to listen on specific ip addresses. Check the manuals but I think its a -i option from memory |

Some of the examples and the Quick Beginnings guide and the --help did not indicate the -i option, nor did the 'support' from IBM!
Thanks folks, that solves my problem.
