Our Linux box running (test) MQ was rebooted while the queue managers were running but not really active.

When I do an endmqm , I lose my session.

When I kill and re-login, I see the endmqm task still running.

I tried the -i option but get the same results.

Any suggestions?

I missed something. After the reboot, the queue managers and the channels were brought up. However I have difficulty bringing them down.

I tried endmqm -p option too. Same problem. It hung my session.

I then followed the manual and killed every process in the prescribed order and then started the queue manager. Now when I try to bring it down, I encounter the same probem. This is what I see as the ps -ef output.

What can I do next to re-set the queue manager? Thanks.

I think I am still wet behind the ears on MQ.

"endmqm" did return after a long time (that it took to quiesce the qmgr). I guess I was impatient!

Please ignore my earlier rants!
