Hi,
I'm facing a strange problem with Japanese characters in my message flow.
The message flow has an input node a compute node, a subflow for error handling and output nodes.
After I restart the broker or deploy the message flow with any changes and send a message with valid japanese characters to the input node, it processes the message and the output message contains garbled characters in place of japanese characters.
If I send a invalid message (invalid structure) with valid japanese characters, it goes through the error handling subflow and comes out to the dead letter queue. Any valid message after this message is processed successfully and all the japanese characters are proper in the output message.
I checked the trace files for all the three cases nothing seems to be different for the first message and the third message. Even though the input messages are same, the japanese characters come out properly only after an invalid message is sent to the flow.
To summarise, the output message contains valid japanese characters only after an invalid message (message which passes through the error handling subflow) is sent through the flow. And this happens everytime I restart the broker or deploy the flow.
Any ideas.
Thanks & Regards

What is your broker platform and which version of MQSI +CSD are u using?
What is the CCSID of the input message?
On which platform is your client running?
What is your input and output message formats? (TDS, CWF, XML?)
