I am trying to install the MQ client on windows 2000 platform.

The AMQILOGN.txt indicates that the installation worked OK.

When I try to verify the system by using AMQSGETC QName QMan the command returns a 2059 and on AMQERR01.LOG I get the following

AMQ9220: MQM could not display the text for error 536908320.

Can anybody help in telling me what is going wrong.

Thanks

Have you correctly set your MQSERVER variable on the system you are running AMQSGETC on?

Thanks for the reply.
I am using the MQCHLTAB file generated on the server. The ENV variables which point to the location of this file on the client are OK.

Any idea what the message 536908320 is or where I can find out.

Thanks

Check that the registry key At 5.2:

At 5.3: "SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\WebSphere MQ"
This key can be found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Ensure that the appropriate user Id(s) have the correct access rights so that they may open the key. Use regedt32 to verify and make amends where necessary. (Perhaps give Everyone access?)

Check that the values under the registry key described above, are present.
EventMessageFile should be set to '<mqinstalldir>\bin\amqxms0n.dll'
TypesSupported should be set to 0x07.

Verify that there are no restrictions in the file system for the appropriate user Id(s) to gain access to the message library file (amqxms0n.dll).
