Hi all,
I am trying to create a decimal field with the following pattern:
Length: 19
Precision: 4
Sign orientation: trailing
Positive sign: ' ' (space)
Negative sign: '-'
It works fine with negative numbers, but if I put a positive number the sign is missing. I have tried to change the positive sign to another character without luck.
Does anyone know about a defect or am I doing something wrong?
In TDS on output a positive sign is not written.
It writes out no sign at all if the decimal is positive.
TDS will parse the positive sign so it does matter what you put there.
If you want to make sure you output with a sign every time maybe you could try CWF as you mentioned before that all your data is fixed length.
