Hi,
I am trying to create a configuration mgr and a broker on my local box using WMQI2.1. I could create configmgr and broker from commandline.
I am using a local user id which is added to administrators, mqbrkrs.....etc 5 WMQI groups and mqm.
But when I try to check-in any message flow or create a broker in topology view, WMQI is throwing up an error saying my id is not part of required group (mqbrkrs etc.). But I have added my id to necessary groups.
Am I missing something wrt user groups? Do I have to do a refresh of security? Is it related to configmgr in any way?.
Here is the error description:
Code: |
BIP0401E You are not authorized to perform this
task.
Explanation: The current user has tried to issue a task
which is not authorized for the authority group the
current user belongs to.
User Response: To issue this task you must log on as
a user which belongs to the appropriate authority
group as listed in ’’Using the Control Center’’ manual.
|
I am getting the above error inspite of my id present in all wmqi 5 groups.
Any help is greately appreciated.
Thanks. |

I could successfully create and deploy broker.
What made it work:
1. Deleted and recreated configmgr with -d option giving domain (in this case my local XP box name). Previously I didnt use -d option while creating configmgr.
2. Created a usernameserver with -d option (not sure if this is really required or not). Probably I should delete it and see, how it behaves.
Thanks. |

Creation of USername serer is not required. If you delete the username server, make sure you update your config mgr with the same information.
If your user-id is a Domain user-id then you should use -d option when creating config mgr. _________________ Kiran
