Hi All:
We had a DR arrangement with Sunguard. The scenario we must create DR instructions for go like this: Sunguard supplies hardware to our requirements (Intel dual processor) and we put a vanilla base OS (Win2K SP4) on C: partition. At this point, we restore a D: and/or E: partition which contain application code and/or data. However the OS does not know of any applications. I have marginal success with Regedit restores (other software) but they are hard to keep current. I have no illusion that the WBIMB environment (DB2, etc.) will co-operate with this method. Therefore I have to perform reinstalls of the various software, and then restore components (eg MQ queues and logs). This does not recover the Config manager or broker so they must be recreated.
I have reviewed the MQ Admin guide for recovery alternatives. They don't really help this scenario. Does anyone else have a similar situation? What did you do? Do you have any recommendations? Please help. _________________ John Kuehn
