Hi,

I am running a workflow instance on a workflow server 3.4 on AIX with an Oracle runtime database. I need to move the application to a new AIX server with workflow on the same level.

What I want to do is create a new workflow instance on the new server with a new runtime database (new queue manager etc). Is it then possible for me to export the data from the original runtime database and import it into the new one?

Thanks,
Deborah.

Yes it is possible.
We did the same thing when we moved our environments from one AIX node to another node.
1. Minimize as much as possible "inprocess actrivities" we have requested users to complete as many as possible
2. Take exact counts of ho mayy activites are there.
3. Export Runtime database. Your DBA should help.
4. Check the counts once again to make sure that you have everythingh
5. Shutdown your other AIX node ,pointing your client to the new node
6. Start procesing on the new node
