05/04/04 16:03:40 AMQ9218: The TCP/IP listener program could not bind to port number 1414. and one more thing i observed that every day at 15:25PM this port session will be closed, due to this i am not able to connect to the QM . when i checked and ran the command runmqlsr i got the above error.

The topic heading itself tells you the story. If you try to start a listener process and bind to a port that is already in use, then you would get this error. You either need to find out which process is using this port and kill it, so that you could use this very port. Or you could as well use a different port. :)

I'd even go so far as to bet that you already have your listener started for this qmgr which is why port 1414 is in use. |

This port is already configured for the queue manager, but i hv different queue manager which is running on different ports, but the port 1414 will disconnect frequently. when i check the process nothing is running on port 1414, after verifying the processes when i start the listener i get the error. Any idea what could be the problem. |

"but the port 1414 will disconnect frequently.
---Very much possible that this port is being reused as much frequently as is being disconnected. Otherwise you wouldnt end up having a state where it is being disconnected frequently. So, verify who is using this port if it is none of your commands/apps.
And of course, as i mentioned earlier, you could very well use a different port.
