I hope the people you are interviewing with don't read this forum.

Sanku,
I've answered questions like this before, you can probably use the search tool and search on "interview" to find them.
Basically, if the interviewer is good, he's not going to follow some scripted list of questions.
Most of the MQ-related interviews I've been on involved me standing up and drawing a bunch of diagrams on a white board and explaining the concepts to the interviewers. And as I'm drawing the flow of a message in a three-tiered system they might jump in with "what about transactional integrity?" "what happens if that server goes down?" "how does the reply message get back to the particular server that sent the request message?" and then I'll end up drawing and explaining those concepts as well.
Honestly, I doubt you'll be able to "wing it" on an MQ interview. You'll need to understand the concepts behind everything, not just be able to write a java program that can put/get a message.
I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just trying to recommend that you spend a lot of time reading the manuals and browsing this site before you try taking an interview. _________________ Brandon Duncan

If I were looking to hire someone to write java programs using MQSeries - that's about all I'd care about.
That, and that they showed enough sense to follow established guidelines and procedures or read the manuals when there weren't guidelines to follow.
Now, if I were looking to hire an MQ Admin, yeah. Everything you said and more. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Perhaps I'm biased but I worked in an environment where there were several engineers writing applications to interact with our queue managers, but had little understanding how MQSeries worked. Unfortunately I had to spend quite a bit of time debugging their programs when they would do things like start a unit of work and not commit it, try to match against correlation id but pass in the message id, put a group of messages but never send a LAST_MSG_IN_GROUP message, etc... _________________ Brandon Duncan
