WMQ Naming convention

Can the MQ object name (queue manager, queue or Channel) start with an integer (like... 2003.TAX.QM1) ?

Please see the section of the Script Command Reference manual called "Rules for Naming WebSphere MQ Objects", in chapter 1.

Rather that posting this question and waiting for a reply.you would have create a queue manager and a queue in that queuemanager which start with a number.
And the answer is Yes you can.As long as the name resolves to a valid filename.

Looked in to it before too. But nothing specific about leading integers. It says no leading underscores.

Anyway I could just test it.
