mqsi 2.1. numerous attempts to export a msgset fail with bip8182e Database Manager not started. Have changed dbpswd, used db2 command window. ConfigMgr is running.
Confused?
I have multiple DB2 instances so I am not sure  what the dbuserid and dbpassword are set to, and what the database names are for cm and mrm. How can one find out ? A version of mqsichangeconfigmgr that listed things out would be nice. |

Hi,
Here is the error message for your problem.
BIP8182E Database manager not started.
Explanation: The message repository database name,
&1, could not be accessed. The database manager has
either not been started, or has been stopped.
User Response: Start the database manager and retry
the command.
Also, if you do not known the userid and password for UDB2, then you are going to have real problems. You cannot import and export message sets without this information.

Lisa,
Thanks for your comments. Resolved the problem. It was to do with Windows terminal emulators (multiple windows on one server) when I switched to one that was DB2 friendly (vmware) commands excepted with the uid and pswd that I had correctly guessed on.
