Using v2.1...Strange things are happening...We've moved the Control Center / Config Mgr from one W2K machine to another. The broker is running on AIX and no changes were made there. We've imported the CM's database as well as the workspace, so we've replicated this CM environment. However, when we attempt to deploy the message flow to an execution group we receive the BIP1536S. Using mqsilist command, I see that the execution group no longer exists...hmmm...
After removing the message flow from the execution group, I deleted the execution group then recreated it. To confirm, I used mqsilist (on broker server of course) to check that it does appear. I deploy (even a force deploy) the message flow to this new execution group. I get the "blue means OK" messages in the Log, but the Operations view shows red light on the message flow...oh-oh, now what...After refreshing the Log, I see the BIP2062E and BIP2087E messages. Has anyone seen this odd behavior? I suspect the Config Mgr move caused things to go out of whack. I am running Control Center with a userid that exists on the AIX box (if that helps). |

To be able to migrate config mgrs to other Win2000 servers (while still using the same remote broker), what is the best practice? Any recommendations/thoughts are greatly appreciated. |

Did you read the sections in the 2.1 Administration Guide on Backup and Recovery? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
