QM1 and QM2 are in a cluster.
QM1 has a local queue (LQ) thats not shared in cluster. It also has an alias queue (ALQ) with base queue as LQ. ALQ is shared in cluster so its visible on QM2.
Can I have an alias queue on QM2 (AALQ) that has ALQ as its base? MQ books say that base queue of an alias queue can not be another alias queue. Does this rule apply to cluster alias queue also?

if the aliasQ and the clustered AliasQ are on different Qmgrs, then the answer is yes.
I have run into sitations where AiasQ and clustered AliasQ were on the same Qmgr and then it didn't work. _________________ Michael
