I don't believe that HP-Unix uses SMIT.
The platform specific Quick Beginnings guides should give you a reasonable understanding of the differences in file locations and commands between the two versions, without requiring a lot of unnecessary digging through multiplatform guides for platform specific information. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

My Personal experience has been that if you know one flavour of Unix, you can manage more or less all of them. If you notice, all the unix flavoured platforms have more or less the same requirements for MQ. So, to answer your question, i belive you should do fine without much effort.
Though QB, as Jeff pointed out, is a real good place to start with. And of course, some basic stuff on the new platform, such as admin operations etc should help you further.
Cheers
