I need to reduce the number of circular logs that are being used by a queue manager. The point is, I am trying to free up some file space. Currently, the queue manger uses 25 primary and 10 secondary @ 16 meg each. I want the queue manger to use 256meg total (15 primary and 1 secondary), without recreating the queue manager. I tried changing the settings in the mqs.ini file, and restarted the queue manger. I still have 25 logs (400meg) - no change.
So here's my question:
Is it possible to reduce the number of circular logs (I know you can't change the size of the logs) without recreating the queue manager? If so, what is the procedure? |

Hi,
the mqs.ini file only contains the default values for sec. and prim.
You have to change the values in the qm.ini file of your QM.

| you need to restart the queue manager to take new configuration into consideration.the change won't take effect immediately.it's the QM's duty to remove the unnecessary logs as the part of normal operation. |
