Looking for some tips please on how to achieve XML input to CSV (comma separated varibles) output transformation under Mqsi 2.1. The xml message does not have rfh2. |

Umm. Can you be more specific?
Because otherwise I'm going to have to answer "Using the MRM and ESQL." _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Jeff,
Thanks for your reply.
Ok i'd assumed mrm and esql but how what do you define in the mrm apart from the xml input. Can you use tdwf features? How do you remove the tags for the output. Need some pointers on approach, techniques etc. Fairly new to this black art. |

The lack of an RFH2 header is not a problem - you can put the information into the MQInput node properties. If you are not changing the data (just the format), you can even get away without using any ESQL - you can just use a ResetContentDescriptor (RCD) node.
You will need to:
a) model your message (or import the DTD/Schema which describes it). This will give you a logical message model.
b) add two physical formats to the message set which you created in a). An XML physical format to describe the input, and a TDS physical format to describe the output. You'll probably find that the default XML settings are correct, but the TDS settings need some work.
c) create a message flow containing an MQInput node, an RCD node and an MQOutput node. The MQInput node propertes should specify the domain (MRM) message set and message format (XML). The message type does not need to be specified - it will be deduced by the MRM XML parser (it looks at the root tag in the input document).
Let me know if you need help with the TDS settings. I'll probably need more info on the exact structure of the your message for that, though. |
