I have MQSeries 5.3 on Windows2000 and mainframe as well.
I wrote a java program which uses PCF commands for starting/stopping a channel.
In the program I import a "ibm.com.mq.pcf".
It has a class PCFAgent,using it we send the command to command server and it gets executed there.
when I executed this program for starting a channel on windows,it gets successfully executed.
but when I try to start a channel on mainframe MQseries,it gives an error as
3001: cfh_type error.
Do we need to set a different type on mainframe ?
If so,how?

the mainframe (z/OS) version of MQ does not support PCF!
use runmqsc commands instead and read the z/OS administration manual
