Hi,

I'm using MQ 5.3 and WMQI 2.1 for interfacing with SAP. I get a flat file with Japanese characters in it and I create an IDOC out of it and post it to the SAP server. The IDOC message contains Japanese characters when read from the queue, but when I try to read the message to send it to SAP using the smqsi utility provided for MQ -> SAP connectivity the japanese characters are shown as junk in SAP.

To check SAP's japanese handling capability, I have tried posting the same IDOC, by reading it into a file and calling the same function module, all the characters are stored correctly.

Any ideas..

Thanks & Regards

Vels
