Hello,

I have a requirement to support JMS interop between WebSphere 4.0/MQ5.3 and BEA WebLogic 8.1 and I wanted to find out if anyone has been sucessful in enabling JMS communication in this configuration. MQ Queues are registered in WAS 4.0 via JNDI and I need to support JMS client calls from WebLogic to WebSphere. We have been told by IBM that in order for WebLogic to access the MQ queues via JNDI on WAS or the WebLogic MQ bridge, we would need to have WebLogic configured to use the IBM jvm in order to inter-op. I am hoping to avoid this scenario for support reasons. So far, my attempts using the Weblogic jvm have not been successful. The Weblogic server is running on a Linux/Intel platform and the Websphere server is running on AIX. Also, I suspect that WAS 4.0 is not fully JMS compliant and that might be another reason why I need to use the IBM jvm on both ends. If anybody can confirm this limitation or provide a workaround solution, please let me know.

Regards,

Paul
