We are currently migrating from MQSIv2.0.2 to WBIMBv5 (via WMQIv2.1) and to enable us to support both environments during the migration we are running WBIMB under VMWare.
The downside to this is that we are now very short of diskspace on the developers machines(running the Brokers Toolkit) - especially after applying CSD3, when I noticed that the diskspace dropped by about 400Mb per machine - i.e. the size of the CSD03.
I expected the CSD to overwrite the existing Toolkit files but it seesm to have made a load of 'backup' directories of the previous CSD's files ?
An example of this is :
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\evtoolkit\eclipse\features\com.ibm.etools.mft.feature.admin.nl1_5.0.0
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\evtoolkit\eclipse\features\com.ibm.etools.mft.feature.admin.nl1_5.0.1
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\evtoolkit\eclipse\features\com.ibm.etools.mft.feature.admin.nl1_5.0.2
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers\evtoolkit\eclipse\features\com.ibm.etools.mft.feature.admin.nl1_5.0.3
Is it safe to remove these 'older' directories and is there an easy way to identify/remove them all ?

I wouldn't recommend cleaning-up the old files/directory.
I think it gives you an option to select "Don't backup files" when installing new CSD. But, then by selecting this option you won't be able to backout this CSD, which could become a problem.
Why not ask for additional disk space? _________________ Kiran
