In the properties tab, under Logical Properties -> Value Constraints.

But this is the properties tab for the TYPE of the element, not the Element.

I.e. Right click on the Element, and choose "Goto Type Definition".

Hi,
In the Message Definition Editor, select the Properties tab, then select Properties Hierarchy --> select Value Constraints under Logical Properties.
This is for simple types.

Hope this helps,
Lisa

Thank you jefflowrey & Lisa

Yes! I was able to do as you specified, now, I can see the Value Constraints.

but stuck @ one more instance. like in 2.1 we have value constraints for Min Inclusive, Max Inclusive, Min Length, Enumeration, Default Value, Null Permitted, Pattern.

but here I dont see Default Value, I only see is Length Constraints, Enumeration & Patterns.

what I'm trying to achieve is..... I'm creating a Msg Set for transforming xml to Fixed length, here in the input message, the elements may or maynot have values but the output I require is blank spaces(till length of elements) if the element value is null.

I achieved this 2.1 by creating a value constraint of default value. any suggestions in creating in V 5.0

Thanks in advance.

After you click on the element, goto Properties tab. Under Details you will see few properties for Value. One of these property (Default or Fixed) is similar to "Value Constraint" in WMQI 2.1

Thanks Kiran..

yes!..it worked, unable to achieve the output.

again one more question, In the MRM, one of my record is repeatable ..where can I see the option repeat, ??

Like in 2.1, I can see the option Repeat under Connection tab.

but one strange thing I noticed, in the properties tab, in the occurance option, specifying Min. Occurance & Max. Occurance = 1.

and giving the input with multiple records...
I was able to get multiple records in the output.

Is this a default option in V 5.0..how does it work.

Thanks in advance.
