We are upgrading our mainframe MQSeries from 2.1 to 5.3. We also have version 5.1 running on HP UX, and 5.0 running on WINNT (they aren't changing yet).

Will everything be ok connecting to the mainframe after the upgrade?

I would guess that things would be ok if you aren't trying to use any of the newer 5.3 features. However, I can't remember when Win 5.0 went out of support. I believe HP 5.1 went out of support on December 2002. You need to upgrade all of your systems to the latest (supported) version to be safe.
