If a MQClient machine is running 5.3 CSD05, can I just regeister the CSD06 version of amqmdnet.dll on this machine? (If I copy over the amqmdet.dll from a CSD06 machine).
The only purpose of this would be to get the fixes for .NET introduced in CSD06. I understand from a base MQ perspective, I would not get any benifit of the CSD06 fixes.
It seems to work, but I didn't know if there was some hidden snafus.
The purpose of this is to allow applicationA to be developed at CSD06 of the .NET classes, even though applicationB on the same server dictates that we canot upgrade to CSD06 at the machine level. _________________ Peter Potkay

Jason - when will CSD07 be released? I would like to order (from our IBM IGS colleagues) some new systems to be built for a dot NET application and it would be helpful to have a stable version of MQ suitable for .NET. (CSD 05 has bugs - CSD 06 is broken!!). |

Fixpack 6 broken? Not to my knowledge in the .net area, but there is some known issues (such as the service one)...
I cant answer regarding fixpack 7 as (a) I'm not allowed to and (b) its still in discussion! |
