An interim fix has been made available on the 'Interim Fixes' section of the fixpack download sites which applies on top of Windows fixpack 6.
See: https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/wsmqcsd/wsmqcsd-p
It resolves a problem where post-fixpack 6, any service (trigger monitor, listener, custom service etc) created is incorrectly stored in the registry, so a subsequent start fails (it might only fail after a reboot, or service restart). Existing services continue to work correctly.[/url] |

I think i tried this patch last friday.
It contains the mqai.dll as i remember.
After overwriting the CSD06 version with this efix version
MQ wouldn´t even start anymore.
WinXP SP1 + latest MS fixes
MQ 5.3 Express CSD6 + the mentioned efix.
I installed CSD05 now, which works fine. |

[moderator mode on]
In general News/Updates is not meant for discussion, since this could be important information for someone a) having a problem with FP6 itself or has installed FP6 and is about to install this temporary fix.
@HugoB, did you report this behaviour to IBM?
@JasonE, can you confirm the mqai.dll update and the subsequent behaviour from other cases reported?
Thanks!

Michael,
Your mod mode is correct.
On the other hand you always need to find a compromis.
So therfore i replied here.
I did not report it to IBM as of yet.
From a statistic point of view, i can not conclude that this behaviour
is common with this efix. |

Please do report it if it is reproducable - it is important no regressions come in.
However, I just retested it myself to confirm and it does work fine (as well as solving the problem it was trying to).
I also have not heard of anyone having problems with this patch, and it solves a serious problem with creating MQ Windows services and fp6. |
