Hi,
I need some info regarding the various ways one can optimize the cleanup servers for production machines.
What are the various pros and cons of configuring the cleanup servers to optimize for high volume transactions ?
Ex:
- Cleanup server settings
- Check interval PT5M
- Start mode Immediate
- Cleanup time P1W
- Cleanup delay time PT1H
I am more curious about the Cleanup time option. Does it mean, the server is gonna run for a whole week ?
And is there any place where I can check for the number of process the cleanup server has deleted ? Or is the cleanup server designed to delete only a certain number of processes ? Something like cleanup statistics once the server has stopped.
I know my question is pretty vague. Sorry, but I am a newbie here right now.
will appreciate any suggestions

Post your workflow related questions in the workflow forum. Cleanup server does the physical deletes. If a workflow process has ended, logically the instance will not be there but it is the cleanup server that does the physical deletes.
Usually cleanup server is set to wake up during the off peak hours when the load on the workflow is low like from 12-00 am to 6-00 am.
