We're having a problem with a client program opening & not closing connections to our QMGR. However, denial is all we get from the author. How can you find what initiated an amqcrsta process? Is there a way to trace that it came from a specific IP or program name? Right now, they're all just ownded by mqm with a parent process of the inetd (from startup) - even though we know about 300 of the connections are spawned by an external process coming via MQClient. We're running 5.3 on AIX 5.1. Thanks!

If you do a netstat -an and grep for the port number your listener is running, it will tell you what IPs the incoming channels are started from.

Example
netstat -an | grep 1414
