Doesn't your error logs tell you why.
Check workflow error logs and also MQ error logs. If you can post what the entry is may be somebody can help.

His obviously you have set the configuration variable RTRecycleThreshold in your profile. Pleas read in the Installation Guide about the recyle feature.
