Hi,
When I try to send messages from one queue manager (QM1) to another one (both are in cluster), sometimes they get stuck in the transmit queue. The clsuter sender and receiver channels are running. This is resolved temporarily when I manually loginto these boxes and put a message. Then all further messages that the application sends by connecting to QM1 go through. But this problem resurfaces fter a while. Any pointers to this issue?
thanks |

What release / fixpack? Try a more recent one, as there have been a number of issues over time relating to messages stuck on transmit queues. For 5.3, IY50188 (in fp6) and IC34938 (in fp3) spring to mind... |

If your messages are being put under syncpoint, then definitely try fp6, or contact service for a testfix for apar IY50188 |

"MESSAGES STUCK ON THE XMITQ IN A CLUSTERING ENVIRONMENT
Arriving new messages on a transmission queue do not start the
cluster channel if it is inactive and messages are stuck on the
XMITQ.
Local fix
Set the channels' DISCINT to 0 to keep the channels running
permanently as a temporary workaround."
Maybe this will work untill you get the newest fp. |
