I am working on Authentication and syncing users from ldap to WF.
I would like to know about ldap bridge between two,is it redily available in wf or ldap for bridging between two.
My problem how do i get a fdl from ldap to wf staff page in the first place and if there are any chenges in ldap to be reflected in wf.
Authentication at present i am planning to do it using AuthExit, if i know that theldap bridge can import FDL,i think i can do direct authentication.
why i want fdl is that in our case,we dont want to go out from wf to ldap for changing or setting wf properties on the staff.
Please corrct me if i am wrong in my above assumption.
Any ideas are appreciated and thanks in advance

The LDAP Bridge is part of MQWF V3.4, you can find doc on using the bridge in the Admin guide _________________ John McDonald

I guess you could do that, but that's not what I have seen done. Generally you will use the Authentication exit so that the password only exists in the LDAP directory. _________________ John McDonald

John,
But don't you see any issue with setting workflow specific parameters on LDAP,like setting absence, routing and so on.
Am i getting wrong notion of this concept. Can we maintain all workflow relates parameters and always upate workflow group for any changes done in workflow for staff instead of importing staff FDL into workflow.
Can you please give some insight into this.
Thanks in advance

I really don't know LDAP, but it seems to me that that the bridge is an attempt to make it so that you don't need to maintain staff in 2 distinct places LDAP Directory and MQWF. SO, unless you add all of the MQWF attributes to your LDAP Directory, you are still going to have to maintain your staff in Buildtime (or Modeler). _________________ John McDonald
