I have some SVRCONN channels that are not terminating after they go idle and a firewall terminates them. Firewall terminates after 1 hr. I turned on KEEPALIVE in qm.ini but they still are not terminating. KeepAlive is set a defaults 7200, 9, 75.
Clients are doing MQGET with WAIT (5000 mil sec). HBINT is 300. MQM is on zSeries LINUX.
Only thing I see that may be at issue is in qm.ini. Coded it per IBM Sys. Admin book as:
TCP:
KeepAlive = Yes (spaces around the =)
Does it need to be:
TCP:
KeepAlive=Yes
I don’t see errors in MQ logs. How can I tell the MQM is running with KeepAlive active? Are stanza errors written somewhere else? Help!

The ADMINS put KeepAlive in the mqs.ini rather than the qm.ini. That should fix it. Never trust anyone....this is Data Processing. Format with spaces is ok.
