Hi folks,
I'm trying to do a prototype for publish/subscribe using MQ v5.3 (with fix pac for pub/sub)as MOM and JMS on implementation side. Using Websphere Application Server v5.1 as J2EE container.
I referred MQ information center for publish/subscribe help. But i couldnt able to get complete picture for necessary MQ setup.
Few questions in my mind, pls help.
MQ
-----
1) While creating a Queue for pub/sub stream, is there any special params to identify it as a stream queue?
2) Can the subscribers directly subscribe to Queue to which publishers are publishing?
3) I had referred sample script (MQJMS_PSQ.mqsc) with MQ, all queues created are same as normal MQ queues. How does a broker identify the Queue that we created for usage of streams?
4) Documentation says JMS cannot do content filtering, so JMS subscirbers need to use message filter while subscribing?
WAS Console
-------------
1) While creating topic connection factory
Broker Publication Queue
Broker Subscription Queue
Broker CC Subscription Queue
are present. Why these are present at TCF level?
Should we associate "Topic connection factory" with configured Topic, similar to QCF and Queue?
2) What is difference between "Broker Subscription Queue" and "Broker CC Subscription Queue"?
I would be grateful for your answers.
Thanks

Before doing anything, I'd strongly suggest that you move to the latest version of WMQ. |
