Hi All

I am trying to understand the various IBM adapters for SAP. Does anyone has experience with the following IBM adapters. I am interested to know the advantage/disadvantage of the various adapters.

1. MQSeries R/3 link
2. WebSphere Adapter for mySAP.com
3. IBM WebSphere Business Integration Adapter for mySAP.com

Thank you very much for your time.

The WebSphere Adapter for mySAP.com is new here and we are still playing with it. There are only a couple of things that interest us (for now):
    * Ease of configuration
    * Ease of monitoring

Things like performance will be looked at later as only a few messages will be sent in a day.

We are using IBM's Tivoli to monitor the SAP adapter and it seems straight-forward at this stage. The adapter's log files appear to be in the ubiquitous "Log4J" format used by a lot of Java programs. Errors are recognised easily enough - but, hey, it's early days yet!

Anyway, what kind of comparisons are you looking for?

    * Documentation; How comprehensive and is it easy to follow
    * Flexibility; Can it allow you to add custom headers - which this adapter does seem to do.
    * Footprint; resource overheads (lots of memory-hogging Java "stuff")
    * Recoverable; unit of work, self-restarting or crashes when you walk into the room?
    * Upgradability
    * "Performance"
    * Monitoring
    * Cost

Good luck.
