I am just wondering what are the (dis)/advantages of using DB2 instead of ORACLE for workflow.

Wht you are asking is something that doesn't make sense. Because, DB2 or ORACLE is a prerequsite to WbeSphere MQ Workflow.
If your question was related the (dis)/advantages of DB2 over Oracle then that's a different story.

Personal opinion: MQWF IBM Product... DB2 IBM Product...

You get better support with DB2 and also supported on all platforms, Oracle only supported on the Unix platforms
