We use MQ Link for R/3 for sending IDOCS .When the IDOCS arrive on the local queue the INBOUND Server connects to the SAP clients and pushes the IDOCS to the SAP System. Every time the INBOUND link uses the Username,Password to connect to the SAP client.
Since the link connects to the SAP client many times(every time IDOCS arrive on the local queue)the SAP team says it is consuming lot of resources. How to come out of this problem. I have read about load balancing.I guess that is done if there are more than one SAP client. But we have only one. Can any one tell me why SAPRFC.INI file is used in load balancing.
Load balancing is used to share the load across application servers not SAP clients. SAP team would have to define the servers to be used for balancing using sm51. SAP then determines the least used app server to process the IDOC but they all connect to the same client. _________________ Bob Perry

Bob,
You mean to say we have nothing to do on MQ Side??The loadbalancing of appervers is the solution through SM51? Then what is the load balancing they talk in saprfc.ini file??

You have to 'tell' SAP to load balance. This is done in the .ini file. That's all you need to do. The actual balancing is done on the SAP end. _________________ Bob Perry
