Anyone ever implement an attribute of this type? I was considering modifying the CircularLogNode to allow this (instead of just spilling out the entire Message). But I can't find any docs on it besides this. Do I have to "manually" parse/determine anything entered in such a field, then code to build discovered elements into the CircularLogNode's evaluate()?
If so, then this is just a way to provide editing of what the node user typed in the attribute when using the node, right? Doing something w/ the entered data is entirely up to the node implementer, right?
The Control Center help offers this option under Creating an attribute:
Custom This allows you to specify that the behavior of your node is consistent with an IBMPrimitives node.
You can select one from the following list of options:
ComputeESQL
If you select this your node will edit and syntax check ESQL that is valid in the Compute primitive.
FilterESQL
If you select this your node will edit and syntax check ESQL that is valid in the Filter primitive.
DatabaseESQL
If you select this your node will edit and syntax check ESQL that is valid in the Database primitives (Database, DataDelete, DataInsert, DataUpdate, Warehouse).
TracePattern
If you select this your node will process trace pattern information supported by the Trace primitive.
Thanks a lot,
