Can anyone share their methodology of sizing for the Pagesets and filesystems that hold their messages. Today I'm more interested in zOS than Unix, but I have both in my environment.

Does anyone have a multi-applciation environment where they manage the sizing and maybe even charge back for DASD for their queues?

Most of our applications keep their queues empty most of the time, but in sizing we considered the fact that the applciation that drains the queue may be down with a problem. This might run for several hours and the last thing that we want to do is have a pageset or filesystem fill up.

All thoughts greatfully appreciated
TIA
Tom
