Any one here has the experience to config 3-tier structure with oracle database? We got many problems on creating the runtime database. The most important one is from which side to create the rtdb? on mqwf Server+oracle client side, or from the standalone oracle server side with the script from fmczutil utility?

many thx,

I have done it with DB2. Creating the RT DB is done from the WMQWF Server box ( mqwf Server+oracle client side).

What platforms are you talking about?

Hi Vennela,

We have two sets of documents from IBM. One says create a database on oracle server side and use fmczutil on oracle client/ workflow server side.
The other one says how to create a RTDB from the workflow server side.

We are totally confused and have already read some varied documents regarding this. Could you or someone else can kindly tell us if there are any step-step instructions out there to configure oracle as RTDB in a three-tier setup.

Thanks
koko

That is what is called IBM WebSphere MQ WorkFlow Installation Guide
In this manual, there are step by step instuctions for all kinds (2-tier 3-tier Oracle/DB2 etc) of configuration. Look in Chapter 9 (if UNIX) or Chapter 15 (if Windows)
