Hi

Hope you can help me with this simple question, how do I check the CSD level of WMQI on Windows platform ?

I have problem where I think that my current level of WMQI is on CSD01, but CSD02 installation does nothing (it says that it will install / update "0Kb" of software, like everything perhaps would already be up to date ?).

The current WMQI's installation memo.ptf file speaks of fix pack 1 (which I believe is CSD01 ?), but the message broker toolkit's "about dialog" gives something like 5.0.2... I had impression that the memo.ptf -file tell's the CSD level, is it so ?

Hi Alan,

You can check the CSD level of the tooling via the about box. It should say 5.0.2 with a build id of 20031009_1516. If CSD2 failed to install correctly, the about box would not say 5.0.2 and would have an earlier build id.

You can double check your configuration via Help --> Software Updates --> Update Manager, and expand the Current Configuration tree in the Install Configuration panel. Most (but not all) of the Message Broker features there should be at a 5.0.2 or 5.0.2.x level for a CSD2 toolkit.

HI,

Just type "mqver" in command prompt. U will be provided with 3 data MQSeries Ver, CSD and Build Type. And the CSD is usually one plus than the one installed, like if CSD3 is installed it wiil show u CSD4

Hi,
"mqver" will the provide information about the MQ Series installed and not WMQI.

The memo.ptf has a section called "CSD HISTORY" which will give you the exact CSD that is installed (C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1\readmes\memo.ptf).

Also when you install CSDs , it takes quite some time. After 99 % complete, the screen vanishes for a few minutes, you have to be a bit patient , till the installation screen comes alive again.
