The following text was intended to be published in the fp6 memo.ptf but looks like it has got missed. All the other options not mentioned are not mentioned for a reason (ie untested, dont work, not required etc) but their names indicate what they do.

Quote:
Fixpack install process, AMQICSDN, command line syntax
------------------------------------------------------

AMQICSDN has a number of command line parameters which can modify its
behaviour under specific circumstances.

The currently supported options are:

Syntax
AMQICSDN.exe <parms>

Where <parms> is any number of

MQPLOG - Specifies the log to be used during install/uninstall
eg. MQPLOG="C:\TEMP\CSDINSTALL.LOG"

MQPBACKUPPATH - Specifies the directory to backup into during install
eg. MQPBACKUPPATH="C:\MQM\CSD07"

MQPREBOOT - Specifies what to do when a reboot is required
eg. MQPREBOOT=1
Supported values:
<not supplied> - Prompt for what to do
0 - Suppress the reboot
1 - Reboot without asking

MQSILENT - Specifies whether to do a silent install or not
eg. MQPSILENT=1
Supported values:
<not supplied>, 0 - Interactive install
1 - Silent install

MQPINUSEOK - Specifies whether to continue even if a file is found to
be currently locked by another application. Note should
this occur, then this will require a reboot to complete
fixpack installation. eg. MQPINUSEOK=1
Supported values:
<not supplied>, 0 - Fail if files are found to be in use
1 - Deferred install upon reboot

MQPUNINST - Specifies the removal of the last fixpack eg. MQPUNINST=1
Supported values:
<not supplied>, 0 - Do an install
1 - Do an uninstall of the latest fixpack

Jason, your reply kinda implies that fp6 for 5.3 is available? But I don't see it yet on the IBM site?

Now you dont think I can answer that do you? I'm sure it'll be out this year sometime... Actually fwiw its pretty close to shipping...

Actually my reply wasnt meant to imply that - The amount of testing fixpacks go through before release means we know in advance some things, this included. Actually since making my post, I had a chat to the person coordinating this and he had to make changes to the memo.ptf anyway, so I think it may well have been added.
