All:
Capitalware Inc. would like to announce the official release of MQ Visual Edit v1.1.0.
MQ Visual Edit v1.1.0 changes- Added 3 new Stress Testing Tools: Get Server, Put Server and SIM Server (Unlimited number of them can be started).
- Added code to check if the Queue Manager's Command Server is running.
- Added a Refresh button to the List of Queues panel.
- Converted all JDialog and JOption panels to be non-modal. This should improve the performance of MQVE under Java v1.3.
- Successfully tested MQ Visual Edit under Mac OS X (v10.2) - includes Mac 'Look&Feel'.
- New startup script for Mac OS X - mqve_mac.sh
- Fixed a very random bug with 'Look&Feel' on startup of MQ Visual Edit.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Remove All' feature of the MQMD Choose Columns display.
- Added support for saving messages with duplicate MsgIDs.
- New full language support for Romanian (ro).
- Major update to the French translation.
- Minor updates of the German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish translations.
- Updated docs (English only)
For the Stress Testing Servers (Get, Put & SIM), you can have unlimited number of them running (up to what your box can support). Here's a quick description of the servers:- The Get Server will continuously consume messages from a queue and show statistics of its current state.
- The Put Server will put messages to a queue. It can be used to stress test a 'Server Component'. The user can start multiple copies of the Put Server to stress your server. The user can control the feed by putting a delay between puts. The message data can be from a screen text box or from a text file or from a VEQ Backup file (this file can contain many messages with MQMDs - therefore, the Put Server will be sets of messages.).
- The SIM Server will continuously consume messages and send a reply message for each incoming request message. The message data can be from a screen text box or from a text file or from a VEQ Backup file (this file can contain many messages with MQMDs - therefore, each request message the SIM Server will generate multiple reply messages.).
