Hello-
Does exporting a message flow exports ESQL embeded in the nodes ?. Also if the message flow consists of sub flows then is it necessary to export subflows?. Thanks..

There are different ways of exporting a message flow.
1) Using Control Center.
2) Using supportPac IC01 (mqsiexportmsgflows command).

In either case ESQL code will be embeded in your export. If you use option 1, it will also include sub-flow and plug-in nodes definitions in your export, there is a option to control this (File->Preferences option), but it doesn't work.
Using Option 2 you can export that particular message flow(or sub-flow) only.

I am using "option 1" but I am wondering if exporting the parent flow exports the ESQL embeded in the subflows ... Thanks Kirani for ur prompt reply ...

To confirm , if I have to put in a CVS then is it just enough to export the parent flow and check it in ??.. doen't I need to export the subflows seperately ??? .. Thanks ...

Yes.

Yes, but then you are duplicating the sub-flows in CSV if they are used in more than one parent message flows.
I'd recommend that you use option 2 for exporting. By doing this you can store sub-flow and parent-flow separately in CSV. If a sub-flow changes you then export sub-flow only in CSV.
