MQ ver 5.2 on Solaris 8. New upgrade from v5.0. Getting this error occasionally.

Check the permissions of /etc/group, /etc/passwd, and /etc/nssswitch.conf. They should be 444. Also check the kernel parameters and number of file descriptors for the mqm user.
Also, since you upgraded, you should have moved to WMQ 5.3 instead of MQ 5.2. The 5.2 product went out of support on Dec 31, 2003. |

Thanks, Bower. I'm checking on the file descriptors now. Should I just increase it from the value its at now?
As for the versions... I have a separate project to upgrade all MQ servers to v5.3 in the 2nd quarter of 2004. I didn't have time to upgrade the OS AND upgrade and fully test v5.3 on this particular server. _________________ Bob Perry
