Hi all ,
We are trying to put messages on to a Remote queue from a vb program , we have not created any of the server connection channel , we have delete all the default server connection channels and client connection channels . then also vb program is able to put the message on to the queue .
I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW IT IS ABLE TO PUT !! EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE REMOVED ALL THE MQI CHANNELS .
Could anyone please explain how the message flow happens in an MQI channel.
thanx in advance |

please leave the very very etc urgent stuff, for everyone a question is urgent, the fact your question get's answered has to do with some one knowing the answer, not the urgency of the question.
Also for us to help you find the answer please state as much infomation as possible about your environment! like platform, version, csd level, data goes from where to where etc...
This is not only for you, but for anyone posting a question.
Now to your question, you mention removing all MQI channels, you mean SVRCONN/CLNTCONN channels? Is the vb program running on the same machine as the Queuemanager?
Then probably the vb program is running in bindings mode and doesn't need channels to connect.
You mention putting to a remote queue, does the data end up on the remote Queuemanager? then you still have SDR/RCVR channels present (this is good...)

Michael ,
Thanx for the help . that's the same solution what i was looking for .
I just have one last clarification : what is the difference between using a MQCONN and MQCONNX type of connections . Are there any pro/cons for each of them .
Thanx in advance

With MQCONN you have to define your client-connection channel using
the MQSERVER environment variable or
the client channel definition table (AMQCLCHL.TAB) + environment variables MQCHLLIB, MQCHLTAB
With MQCONNX you can define the client-connection channel at runtime in your program.
You can find more about this in the "Client" pdf
