Hi everybody. I need your help.
I have a SRVR and RQSTR Channel on OS/390 (MQ v5.3) that connects to other company that has NT and MQ v5.1. .......We've configured the Channels as this (I mean both companies):
For SRVR Channel:
Disconnect interval . . . . : 6000
Batch interval . . . . . . : 0
Batch heartbeat interval . : 0
Short retry interval . . . : 60
Short retry count . . . . . : 10
Long retry interval . . . . : 1200
Conversion by sender . . . : N
Nonpersistent messages . . : F
Maximum message length . . : 4194304
Batch size . . . . . . . . : 50
Heartbeat interval . . . . : 60
Keep alive interval . . . . : AUTO
For RQSTR Channel:
Nonpersistent messages . . : F
Maximum message length . . : 4194304
Batch size . . . . . . . . : 50
Heartbeat interval . . . . : 300
Keep alive interval . . . . : AUTO
The problem is that by the time my SRVR Channel keeps in Retrying, Binding...So I have to STOP it, enable GET and TRIGGER of the XmitQ, RESET it and finally START it. But, on the other side they have to START it too. As I know, the advantage of this type of Channel is that you can STOP, START it from one side, isn't it?
The message in my CHIN Log is:
+CSQX202E +Q231 CSQXRCTL Connection or remote listener
unavailable, channel ????, connection 172.25.15.5
TRPTYPE=TCP RC=00000468
..and the message in their Event Viewer Log is:
"The Channel Program Ended because the Channel 'CQ231_010000' is
not currently available on the remote system. This could be because the
channel is disabled or that the remote system does not have sufficient
resources to run a further channel."
Here, all the resources are available and there they have their Listener started (well, I trust them.....). Maybe any TCP/IP problem? Or what do you suggest to do pls....
Thanks
Lisset

lhurtado,

The TCP RC=0468 says: The attempt to connect was rejected.

The only 2 things I can offer is:

1) Is the channel going to the correct port?
2) Do the network ppl have some sort of ACLs in place that restricts certain ports?

Hi offshore, thanks for replying.
We both are using the default port.
About "b)" I'll figure it out.

Well the problem was solved. You were right offshore. We asked security about what was defined in the Acces List. And they'd restricted the access to port 1414 of the other company.
Cheers,
Lisset H.
