Does MQ 5.1 version has downward compatab with import of ver2.1??
Can we import the ver2.1 xml message flows directly to 5.1 w/o any changes? Does it work?

If you're talking about message flows, then you are talking about Websphere MQSeries Integerator version 2.1 and Websphere Business Integration Message Broker version 5.0. There is no version 5.1 of WBIMB, that I know of.

And there is no simple migratition path between the two versions.

you are right, I am referring to 5.0 itself.
so the migration from 2.1 to 5.0 is manual??
Do i need to create all the message flows + plug in nodes+compute nodes+trace nodes etc manually?? Any ideas?

go to http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/ search for MQ and sort on publish date!
