Hi ,
We plan to migrate . I have read the migration paper but I do not understand why use the db migrate script. It is not easier to delete the 2.1 Broker and Config manager then upgrade the DB version , install WBIMB5.0 , MQSeries,... recreate the broker and the config manager , migrate the flows, and redeploythem to the config manager + new broker !
Thanks |

From my understanding, it's "Six of one, half a dozen of the other".
Both methods will work. Which are you more comfortable with.

I am looking into migration as well.
I suggest to look into migrating the messageset/flows to the new toolkit and a repository first.
If you know how to migrate to the toolkit, arrange the projects, use a repository, etc., the question of migrating or recreating the configmgr and broker will be a simple one.
It is possible to install only the toolkit and this can be done on the same desktop as the old ControlCenter, see http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12541.
It is possible to install the CSD directly, but you have to copy the *.lic files from the base product. _________________ Jan Fluitsma
