I have heard from an x-IBM consultant we had in house that the v5 Broker is not supported on XP. Has anyone heard or has experience with this? Is or is it not supported, and does it work or not? We'll run with the highest CSD possible (CSD#2).
Thanks in advance for your help...

so if you are planning this for a production machine, get the server versions. If it is for development make sure you have XP PRO and give it a try. "Not supported" does not mean "does not work".

Be careful, IBM are very inconsistent when it comes to expressing OS requirements. I made the same enquiry about NT support and came up with these results:

For official installations which require formal support I always look at what is written.
So Broker on XP is no go area right now for any installation requiring formal support.
The NT inconsistency comes from the fact that Microsoft itself is dropping support for NT
(wan't this 31-12-2003?? I heard this somewhere, but don't recall the source, just the echo in my head )
