Dear All,
Our MQSeries environment frequently encounters the following error
"MQM.DLL not found" during runtime.
Atleast this is what is displayed in the logs.
What happens then is none of the messages are being processed.
Most of our applications are VB. Our server is Win 2K.
Any clues as to why this is happening and any solution would be of great help in stabilizing our system. As of now we are resorting to server restart which seems to solve the problem temporarily.

When you say displayed in the logs, what do you mean?
mqm.dll is always located from the path, so unless that is changing I dont see how the problem could occur dnamically.
Dont forget VB looks for mqm or mqic32 depending on a project property at compile time - mqm is server bindings, so are you expecting server binding? |

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the explanation.
This message "MQM.DLL not found" is displayed in our application logs as well as in the pop up window that comes up on the screen.
( It does not come up anywhere in the MQSeries log though if that is what your query was. )
We are using a Triggered application and whenever this problem happens the trigger simply hangs and further processing stops. The application logs also statesthat "unable to open queue XXXX - The following file not found : MQM.DLL".

Does the program ever work as a triggered application? If not, you should check http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12988 for some advice.
If it works sometimes but not others, that's very strange. As Jason says, the PATH variable shouldn't be changing dynamically.
